Charting Careers collaborates with high school youth facing significant barriers beyond the classroom to help promote hope, self-understanding, and vision so that youth create their own life story and chart a path to success. Alongside these youth, staff and volunteers' life stories are also expanded through new experiences and relationships.
Each student receives a variety of services and opportunities designed to help them be successful in high school and to develop and tackle achievable college and/or career plans. Programming includes coordination with high school staff, regular monitoring of grades through Parent Connect, professional college advising services, college tours, resume development, life skills workshops, and individual mentoring relationships.
Mentors receive ongoing training and support and also participate in individual goal setting.
