Community Impact Teams
In addition to supporting the family unit, we also work to help build a positive sense of community in the neighborhoods where our scholars and families live.
Our Community Impact Specialists, trusted leaders who live in the neighborhoods we serve, help their commmunities thrive. They build trusting relationships with additional students and families, conduct student/family/community needs assessments, help families in their community access existing community resources, provide on-going support with setting and reaching goals, and plan and implement community events based on their assessment of community needs and interests. These include mental health events, financial literacy classes, and community building activities.
We currently have Community Impact Specialist supporting the following communities:

Greater Clay St. Community
Harbour House/Eastport Terraces
Woodside Gardens
Community Impact Team Measures of Success
Community needs assessments conducted.
Community events hosted based on community needs and interests.
Individuals who report that the learned about a new resource, feel a stronger sense of community, and benefitted from community events.
