Charting Careers Goal Fund

Charting Careers (CC) Goal Fund supports scholars and their families in pursuing personal, academic, and life goals. This fund can help cover expenses that bring a scholar’s dream into focus or support steps toward achieving it—such as fees for extracurricular activities, summer camps, specialized training, or other enrichment opportunities. Awards typically range from $50 to $1,000, and funds are paid directly to the institution or vendor to ensure they are applied toward the intended purpose.

Parents, mentors, and staff play an important role in helping scholars apply. They can guide scholars in identifying a meaningful goal, researching opportunities, gathering required information, and completing the application. Conversations might focus on how the activity aligns with the scholar’s strengths, interests, and long-term aspirations.

In the past, Goal Fund awards have supported:

  • Tuition for a college summer bridge program

  • Enrollment in a sleep away camp

  • Fees for a high school leadership conference

  • Equipment for a pastry business

  • Enrollment in a music academy or dance program

  • Uniforms and registration for a sports league

By working together, families, mentors, and staff can help ensure scholars dream big, plan well, and take steps toward the future they envision.
