At Charting Careers, our work is rooted in four interconnected strategies: Scholar Empowerment, Mentoring, Family & Community Partnership, and Collective Impact. Through long-term relationships, individualized support, and strong community partnerships, we empower youth to discover their strengths, achieve their goals, and build pathways toward lifelong success.
🧭 Scholar Education & Empowerment
From elementary school through college and career pathways, Charting Careers walks alongside scholars as they discover their interests, build skills, and pursue their goals. Through after-school and school-based programming, academic coaching, tutoring, enrichment experiences, career exploration, leadership opportunities, and social-emotional learning, scholars build the confidence, skills, and connections they need to thrive.
Our Launch & Beyond program continues support after high school, helping young adults navigate college, careers, and their next steps.

95% of scholars set, work toward, and achieve meaningful academic, personal, and career goals
Increased academic confidence, school engagement, and future readiness
Growth in leadership, resilience, communication, and self-advocacy skills

🤝 Mentoring
Consistent, caring relationships are at the heart of Charting Careers. Mentors walk alongside scholars, providing encouragement, connection, and support as young people explore their strengths, overcome challenges, and pursue their goals.

🏡 Family & Community Partnership
We recognize that families are the experts on their children. Charting Careers partners with parents and caregivers to strengthen connections, support family goals, and build a strong circle of support around each scholar.
Through family coaching, Parent Cafés, wellness opportunities, advocacy support, and connections to community resources, families build on their strengths and create pathways toward their goals.

Through initiatives focused on youth wellness, prevention, digital opportunity, and neighborhood collaboration, we work with partners to create a community where all young people can thrive.
