Join the Career Mentor Network

The Charting Careers Career Mentor Network connects students with caring adults who can open doors—through conversations, insights, and real-world exposure. By sharing your path, you help young people explore careers, build confidence, and grow their network.

Ways to Get Involved

  • 💬 Informational Interviews – Meet a student (in person or virtual) to share your career journey and answer questions.

  • 📚 Resource Sharer – Send articles, links, or programs (internships, clubs, certifications) to help a student dive deeper.

  • 🎤 Career Panels – Join a panel to discuss your field and pathways into it.

  • 🏢 Take-a-Student-to-Work – Host a brief shadowing visit to show what a day on the job looks like.

  • 🔗 Network Connector – Introduce a student to someone in your industry or alma mater network.

Who We’re Looking For

Professionals, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, public servants, creatives—anyone willing to share honest insight and encouragement. Your college, training, military, or professional association background is all helpful.

Time Commitment

Flexible and low-lift. Most opportunities range from 30–60 minutes (informational interview or panel) to a few hours (job shadow).
